ReplyDeleteI love the subtitle "All the knowledge of the world in my hands: Mobile Technology." To me this sums up what technology today offers - connection to the world no matter where or when. If it is portable or mobile then it is all the more accessable. If libraries are the providers of information then they have to go mobile. With communities being so 'fast-paced' and the expectation of information being delivered immediately, libraries will also be expected to keep up and provide information in the fastest and most portable way possible. The article highlights the importance of mobile information to academic libraries and students especially with ipods and ipads. For public libraries I can see the mobile use of E-readers being a favoured service of the future. Great articles.
